Meet your tutor

Learning French is always an adventure, whether you're already familiar with it or just getting started. Finding the right teacher for you is an important decision that can shape your learning experience.

At Macaron, you will be taught by Marion, a native, certified and experienced tutor, with more than 550 hours of experience with diverse, repeat adult students.

Native speaker

Marion is a French tutor from Lille, la capitale des Flandres, in Northern France. If you tell her that you've already been there and had a good time, you'll make her the happiest "Ch'ti" in the world!

Certified

Though teaching French is a passion, it is not something that can be improvised. Marion is a certified French teacher with a diploma from the Alliance Française de Paris, the most important organisation teaching French as a foreign language in France.

The DAEFLE ( Diplôme d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère) certifies that she has the necessary skills to :

  • create pertinent and interesting learning sessions in relation to your objectives
  • use appropriate and motivating teaching methods
  • evaluate your level and your progress
  • guide you towards better pronunciation

Experienced

"C'est en forgeant qu'on devient forgeron", as we say in French. (A blacksmith learns by blacksmithing.) Before she became a French tutor, Marion was already teaching adults about something completely different: risk management. She had lots of fun, but she definitely prefers to tell you everything about her language.

Since she became a tutor in 2022, Marion has taught a diverse range of students, from the stressed A-level students to the curious retirees ready to travel the world, not forgetting the ambitious professionals wanting to add a foreign language to their skill set. She's even had the unique experience of teaching in a French abbey!

From this diversity, she learnt how to adapt her lessons to her students, and how to make them all have a pleasant time learning French. After all, every macaron is unique !
